Kuala Lumpur (UNA) – His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, inaugurated the fourth meeting of the ASEAN Council of Scholars in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, in the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr. Dato’ Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, His Eminence the Mufti of Malaysia, Sheikh Ahmad Fawaz bin Ali Fadil, and His Excellency the Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs, Senator Dr. Dato’ Zulkifli Hassan, on the host side.
The meeting included a rich participation from the general Muftis of ASEAN countries and their senior scholars.
In the context of the Council’s achievements this year, the Arabic language project for memorizers in the “ASEAN” region was launched, with the honoring of the second batch of elite memorizers in the region, whose certificates were approved with the noble Prophetic chain of transmission through the Global Technical Quran Recitation Center of the Muslim World League.
