Riyadh (UNA/SPA) – A dialogue session entitled “Breaking Barriers: When Knowledge Addresses Its Audience,” as part of the fifth edition of the Saudi Media Forum, discussed the importance of simplifying knowledge discourse and enhancing the media’s ability to deliver knowledge to the public in all its categories, in light of the rapid transformations taking place in the media landscape.

The session was attended by Salem Al-Jabouri, Vice President of the Omani Journalists Association and Vice President of the Federation of Asian and Pacific Journalists, Dr. Mohammed Al-Rumaihi, writer for Al-Sharq Al-Awsat magazine, Dr. Abdul-Hussein Shaaban, writer, political and legal thinker, and Dr. Rashid Al-Khayoun, researcher and writer specializing in issues of thought and philosophy. The session was moderated by Taher Baraka, senior news anchor at Al-Arabiya channel.

The session addressed ways to break down barriers between intellectual elites and the general public, and the role of the media in presenting knowledge in a clear and balanced language that contributes to raising awareness and promoting cultural and intellectual dialogue in society.

The participants stressed that the rapid development of media platforms requires content creators to adopt new methods in addressing the public, combining depth of knowledge and clarity, while maintaining credibility and professional responsibility.

This session is part of a series of dialogue sessions hosted by the Saudi Media Forum, with the aim of enriching intellectual and media discussions and exchanging experiences between researchers, thinkers and media professionals.
