Kuwait (KUNA) - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday that the State of Kuwait is following with great concern the successive developments witnessed by the friendly Islamic Republic of Iran, especially the recent one that included targeting a number of nuclear facilities in a dangerous development that threatens the security and stability of the region and the world.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Kuwait's affirmation of what was stated in its statement issued on June 13, 2025, which condemned the attack on Iranian sovereignty and the violation of international laws and conventions. It called on the international community and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities towards stopping these violations in a way that preserves security and stability in the region, and on the necessity for the Security Council to assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security.
She added, "It also calls for a complete and immediate cessation of all forms of escalation, a complete cessation of military operations, the adoption of dialogue and self-restraint, and redoubled efforts to find political solutions that will achieve security and stability in the region."
