Friday prayers from the Grand Mosque

Makkah (UNA/SPA) - The Imam and Preacher of the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Awad Al-Juhani, advised Muslims to fear God and worship Him, and draw closer to Him by obeying Him in what pleases Him and avoiding what displeases Him and what He prohibits.
His Eminence said: “Taqwa is the essence and foundation of all things - observe Him, for He knows what you conceal and what you declare - and single out the One who is worshipped in monotheism and worship. Supplication to Allah alone, remembrance and turning to Him alone, with no partner for Him, and purify your souls with repentance and cleanse them, and thank Him for what He has gathered for you on this most honorable day between the weekly holiday and the annual holiday. They are two noble days and two great seasons: Friday, which is the most glorious day, and the day of Eid al-Adha, which is the greatest day of Hajj according to the correct view. It was called thus because of the many Hajj rituals performed on it, such as stoning, slaughtering, shaving, and the Tawaf al-Ifadah.”
Sheikh Al-Jahni called on pilgrims to remain calm and peaceful, and for the Hajj to be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations. He urged them to be gentle, kind, and generous with the people, and to avoid noise and causing harm.
His Eminence pointed out that on this great day, the Prophet, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, delivered a sermon that God opened the ears of the people to, so that all the people of Mina heard him in their homes. Among what he, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Worship your Lord, pray your five prayers, fast your month, and obey those in authority over you, and you will enter the Paradise of your Lord.” He explained the sanctity of the Day of Sacrifice and its virtue with God Almighty, and the sanctity of Mecca over all countries. So, O Muslim, beware of misbehaving in this holy country. Beware of harming Muslims in any way, and be polite with your Muslim brothers, the pilgrims of His Sacred House. Do not disturb them with excessive noise, raising voices, intense crowding, and disturbing them with gatherings, crowding in the streets, false chants, and fake propaganda, because these things are considered harm, and God has forbidden harming the believers, saying, the Most High: {And those who harm the believers…} {And the believing women [associate partners with Allah] for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly borne upon themselves a slander and a manifest sin.} So do not fall into sin without realizing it, and do not invalidate your deeds without knowing it, and do not defile your Eid by committing sins. He clarifies that it is appropriate for the Muslim on this auspicious day to pay attention to an important matter, which is sincerity in drawing closer to Allah - the Almighty - and avoiding ostentation and boasting. So fear Allah, O Muslim, and be sincere to Allah, and you will attain His reward and pleasure.
Praise be to Allah, who has honored His Sacred House and made it a refuge for the hearts of the people of faith. I praise Him, glory be to Him, for His blessings and thank Him for His kindness. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without partner, and I bear witness that our master Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah, bless and grant peace to Your servant and Messenger Muhammad, and to his family and companions.
The Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque explained that while Muslims experience the blessings of this great day, they rejoice in the joy of their Muslim brothers for the spiritual blessings that Allah the Blessed and Exalted has bestowed upon the people of the stand, and their arrival at the Sacred House of Allah to perform the Tawaf al-Ifadah in security, prosperity and health, without any preoccupation, deceptive work distracting them, and without any disturbance clouding their stay. We turn to the Almighty God with praise, thanks and gratitude for what He has bestowed and favored, and we ask Him the Blessed and Exalted to help those responsible for Hajj and grant them success in serving the pilgrims of the Sacred House of Allah and facilitating their rituals with ease and simplicity under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Crown Prince - may Allah protect them - as all sectors of the state have been mobilized to serve the Two Holy Mosques, serve the Guests of the Most Merciful and watch over their comfort. May Allah reward them well for Islam and Muslims. What is worth noting in this regard is the generosity of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may Allah protect him - in hosting a number of our brothers and sisters from Palestine. From the families of martyrs and prisoners to perform Hajj this year, they share their feelings, console them, stand by their side and strengthen their resolve. This hosting comes as a complement to the efforts that have been made and will be made in the future to serve the Palestinian cause. In doing so, they are continuing on the path of the founder, King Abdulaziz - may God have mercy on him - that this nation is one in its religion, one in its beliefs and one in the manifestations of its worship, and that it is necessary for it to be united in its heart and body, and to be as God - the Almighty and Exalted - has commanded: “And hold fast to the rope of God all together and do not be divided.”
