Saudi Foreign Minister: The US President's visit to Saudi Arabia is of special significance and demonstrates the two countries' commitment to strengthening partnership to achieve common goals.

Riyadh (UNA/SPA) - Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a press conference today at the conclusion of US President Donald J. Trump's visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
At the press conference, the Foreign Minister emphasized that the US President's visit to the Kingdom holds special significance and demonstrates the two countries' commitment to strengthening partnerships to achieve common goals. He noted the depth of economic relations and the distinguished partnership between the two countries, with the total volume of trade between the two countries reaching approximately $2013 billion between 2024 and 500.
He said: The Saudi-US Investment Forum witnessed dozens of meetings with private sector leaders and the largest companies in both countries, which resulted in partnership opportunities worth $600 billion, including agreements exceeding $300 billion in various fields. The two countries' partnership also includes a number of development and pivotal sectors, supports efforts to diversify the Saudi economy and the opportunities available in strategic and promising sectors in the US economy in the long term, and contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
He commended the US President's announcement to lift sanctions on Syria, expressing appreciation for this important step towards rebuilding Syria and expressing hope that it would contribute to its stability and progress. He noted that the two leaders discussed developments in several sisterly countries, including Yemen, Lebanon, and Sudan, affirming the Kingdom's full support for everything that would achieve security and stability and create conditions for development and prosperity in the region.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the agreement of the leaderships of the Kingdom and the United States on the necessity of stopping the war in Gaza, releasing the hostages, ensuring the flow of humanitarian and relief aid, and working to achieve a just and lasting peace. The Kingdom also affirmed the principle of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders.
He reiterated the Kingdom's continued constructive role in bringing viewpoints closer and encouraging peaceful solutions in cooperation with international partners, expressing the depth of the Gulf-US strategic partnership through the convening of the Gulf-US summit, which reflected the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between the Gulf states and the United States in all fields.
He touched on the US President's meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara'a, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and with the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan via telephone. The leaders discussed opportunities to support Syria's stability and ways to overcome economic challenges and alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people, in the context of the President's announcement yesterday to lift sanctions imposed on Syria.
