The Saudi Crown Prince, the President of the United States of America, and the President of the Syrian Republic hold a meeting to discuss the future of the situation in Syria.

Riyadh (UNA/SPA) - At the kind invitation of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, a meeting was held in Riyadh this morning, Wednesday (16/11/1446 AH) corresponding to (14/5/2025 AD) between His Highness and the President of the United States of America, Mr. Donald J. Trump, the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan (participating via phone call), and the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Ahmed Al-Shara. The future of the situation in Syria was discussed, stressing the importance of its stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and achieving security and prosperity for the Syrian people. The regional situation and the importance of working to find appropriate solutions were also discussed.

President Ahmed Al-Shara expressed his gratitude and appreciation for President Donald Trump's decision to lift sanctions on Syria, saying that this decision will open a new page to enable the reconstruction of Syria, revive its economy, and contribute to achieving security and stability there. His Excellency also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, for their efforts in supporting Syria and requesting the lifting of sanctions.
