Makkah (UNA) – The Muslim World League (MWL) fully supported the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to de-escalate tensions between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the League, His Excellency the Secretary General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, noted the visit made by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Council of Ministers, and Climate Affairs Envoy, His Excellency Mr. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, to the Republics of India and Pakistan, during the period (May 8-9, 2025 AD), under the guidance of the Kingdom’s wise leadership, as part of its efforts to calm tensions, end military confrontations, and open channels of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve all disputes.
His Eminence expressed his confidence in the Kingdom's diplomacy, given the wisdom of its leadership, its strong international standing and relations, and its proven history of promoting security and stability and building peace regionally and internationally. He called on the two countries to prioritize wisdom and the interests of their peoples, and to respond to these commendable efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to spare the two countries and the region further dangerous escalation.
