
Moscow (UNA) – For the first time in the history of relations between Russia and the OIC, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, participated in Russia’s official celebrations today, May 9, 2025, marking the XNUMXth anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, following an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
After attending the military parade in Red Square, attended by Putin and numerous world leaders, the Secretary General, along with Russia's Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Ambassador Turko Daudov, and heads of foreign delegations, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin Wall.
