
Casablanca (UNA) – The Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), in collaboration with the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), organized a virtual workshop on “Enhancing Transport Facilitation Efforts in Landlocked Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation” on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 29 and 30, 2025).
The workshop aimed to raise awareness among landlocked OIC member states, enhance regional cooperation, and promote land transport infrastructure, all with the aim of facilitating trade and achieving sustainable and inclusive development.
The workshop, which featured a presentation titled "The Impact of Digitization on Facilitating Transport and Trade among OIC Member States," was attended by more than 87 participants representing departments from ministries concerned with transport, energy, labor, finance, health, industry and trade, education, and the environment, in addition to customs departments and representatives of trade promotion agencies, chambers of commerce, and auditors from several OIC member states.
