
Doha (UNA/SPA) - Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met in the Qatari capital, Doha, today with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations, aspects of joint cooperation, and ways to develop them to meet the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of the two brotherly countries.
Following that, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his brother, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, chaired the meeting of the Executive Committee emanating from the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council, where they reviewed at the beginning of the meeting the strong fraternal relations and discussed mechanisms for developing them at the bilateral and multilateral levels in the international arena within the framework of the work of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council and ways to deepen and enhance cooperation through a number of initiatives that would elevate relations to broader horizons. On the other hand, the Secretariat of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council reviewed during the meeting the progress of the work of the Council and its committees during the past period, in addition to the developments and preparatory work for the eighth meeting of the Council.
The Committee reviewed the progress made in the work of the Coordination Council’s subcommittees and the initiatives launched during the Council’s seventh meeting, held in Doha on 21/5/1445 AH (5/12/2023 AD). The two sides praised the existing cooperation and coordination between the Coordination Council’s subcommittees and their working groups, and stressed the importance of continuing this momentum with the aim of achieving the common interests of the two countries and their peoples.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar signed the minutes of the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council.
