Ankara (UNA/WAFA) – 200 union leaders from 41 countries denounced the genocide being committed by Israel in Gaza during a protest rally in front of the United Nations mission in Turkey in Ankara on Monday, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Labor, Digitalization and Social Justice.
Protesters held up signs reading "No to war," "Free Palestine," and "17954 children and 12365 women were killed."
Union leaders described the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip as genocide.
They explained that Israel's policy of destruction in Gaza is not limited to bombing, but also through food and medicine embargoes, stressing that the international community's double standards are unacceptable.
At the end of the protest, a wreath was laid in front of the UN mission in Türkiye in memory of those who lost their lives in Gaza.
