Abu Dhabi (UNA/WAM) - President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today received Fuad Mohammed Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, who delivered an official invitation from Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, President of the Republic of Iraq, to attend the Arab Summit in Baghdad scheduled for May 17.
During the meeting, which took place at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, the UAE President welcomed the Iraqi Foreign Minister and discussed with him bilateral relations and efforts to strengthen them, particularly in developmental areas, to serve the common interests of the two countries and their peoples. They also discussed a number of regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest, highlighting the importance of working to promote peace, stability, and cooperation in the region for the benefit of all its peoples.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the depth of UAE-Iraq relations, wishing Iraq and its people stability, development, and prosperity.
