Riyadh (UNA/SPA) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved a significant leap in the 2025th edition of the International Intellectual Property Index 17.55, issued by the American Chamber of Commerce, recording a 55% increase in the overall score, making it one of the highest-ranked countries among the 2030 global economies included in the report. This reflects its commitment to enhancing the intellectual property environment and enabling innovation, as part of the Kingdom's Vision XNUMX objectives.
The report monitored a series of improvements in the legislative and regulatory environment for intellectual property in the Kingdom, most notably extending the term of design protection to 15 years, establishing a specialized prosecution office for intellectual property cases, and enhancing the electronic enforcement of copyrights and trademarks. These improvements contributed to raising the Kingdom's overall rating from 36.6% in 2019 to 53.7% in 2025, a cumulative increase of more than 40% in just six years.
This progress is the result of the efforts of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property and relevant authorities to build an integrated system that enhances the confidence of investors and innovators, confirming the Kingdom's position as an emerging hub in the creative and knowledge economy.
