Manama (UNA/BNA) – Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, inaugurated the Middle East Emissions Monitoring and Air Quality Conference and Exhibition (CEM2025), which the Kingdom of Bahrain is hosting for the first time in the Middle East region, during the period from April 8 to 10, with wide participation of a number of officials and experts, in addition to representatives of countries and regional and international environmental organizations.
He stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain's hosting of this event reflects the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing international cooperation in environmental affairs, noting the importance of the conference as a leading international platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise in the field of emissions monitoring and air quality, and enhancing cooperation towards a more sustainable and balanced environmental future by adopting best practices and technologies in emissions monitoring and air quality.
The conference program includes more than 40 technical presentations by a group of experts from around the world, distributed over seven main sessions that address specialized topics such as emissions measurement, analytical techniques, and environmental compliance, in addition to discussion sessions and practical workshops.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Minister of Oil and Environment toured the accompanying technical exhibition, which featured 55 leading international companies specializing in emission measurement devices, smart monitoring solutions, and emission reduction technologies. The exhibition provided participants with an opportunity to gain a firsthand insight into the latest innovations and technologies and connect directly with international manufacturers and suppliers.
