
ISLAMABAD (UNA) – In the framework of enhancing academic cooperation between Pakistan and African countries, Dr. Muhammad Murtaza Noor, Media Advisor to COMSTECH, has been appointed as the Coordinator of the Pakistan-Africa Education Forum. This appointment is expected to facilitate student admission, enhance educational partnerships and strengthen institutional ties between the two sides.
The appointment letter was formally handed over to Dr. Noor by the Director General Africa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Dr. Ahmed Ali Sirohi, during the closing ceremony of the 5th International Students Conference and Exhibition, hosted by Government University (GCU), Faisalabad.
The consultant has over 25 years of experience in the higher education and development sector, where he played a prominent role in formulating educational policies, promoting international cooperation, and improving the quality of education, which earned him wide recognition at the national and international levels, in addition to receiving several prestigious awards in recognition of his contributions.
It is worth noting that his appointment was welcomed by university presidents and prominent leaders in the higher education sector, who affirmed their full support for this step, which is expected to open new areas for student exchange programs, research cooperation, and academic partnerships, thus strengthening educational relations between Pakistan and African countries.
