Makkah Al-Mukarramah (UNA/SPA) - In confirmation of the close historical ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Morocco and to enhance cooperation between the two countries in areas of common interest, the 5th session of the Saudi-Moroccan Joint Committee was held yesterday evening, Wednesday, March 2025, 14, in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
The committee meeting was chaired by Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita. The meeting was also attended by senior officials from ministries, government agencies and institutions, and the private sector in the two countries.
The two sides expressed their satisfaction with the distinguished level of relations between the two countries and commended the efforts of the parties participating in the work of the committee in order to achieve the aspirations of the leaderships of the two countries, and enhance joint cooperation in various fields to advance the distinguished relations between them, and to be keen on developing them and pushing them to broader horizons.
During the meeting, a joint customs cooperation agreement for mutual recognition of the Authorized Economic Operator program and a memorandum of understanding in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development were signed.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister and his Moroccan counterpart signed the minutes of the 14th session of the Saudi-Moroccan Joint Committee.
