Qatar condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli Prime Minister’s statements regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state in Saudi territory

Doha (UNA/QNA) - The State of Qatar has condemned in the strongest terms the provocative statements of the Israeli Prime Minister regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state in the territories of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, considering them a flagrant violation of international law and a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement yesterday, Sunday, the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and at the same time called on the international community to firmly confront the Israeli provocations.

The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's categorical rejection of calls for the forced displacement of the brotherly Palestinian people, and warned that such calls would hinder peace opportunities and renew confrontations in the region, stressing that a just and sustainable peace will not be achieved unless the Palestinians are enabled to impose their sovereignty over their lands.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, including the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
