Makkah (UNA) - The Muslim World League condemned, in the strongest terms, the absurd statements issued by Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he called for the displacement of the people of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement by the General Secretariat of the League, His Excellency the Secretary General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, denounced these barbaric statements that reflect disdain for all international norms and laws, an infringement on the sovereignty of states, and a disregard for the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their lands.
His Eminence, on behalf of the scholars of the Islamic nation and the Muslim peoples under the umbrella of the Muslim World League, highly valued the statements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially those issued recently on the 5th and 9th of February, affirming its adherence to its firm and unwavering position on the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, its demand to end the Israeli occupation, and its urging of peace-loving countries to recognize the State of Palestine until it attains full membership in the United Nations.
His Eminence appreciated the great efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the Palestinian cause and stand firmly against the horrific crimes in Gaza, especially the historic summits hosted by the Kingdom in this regard, in the context of the ongoing efforts to mobilize world opinion to stand with the legitimate Palestinian right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state on its occupied lands.
