Makkah (UNA) - The Muslim World League launched its periodic report that includes an international map of its initiatives and programs around the world.

The report included the continuation of programs to implement the contents of the “Mecca Document” and the “Document on Building Bridges between Islamic Sects,” and the Association’s establishment of the Council of ASEAN Scholars, the Council of African Scholars, and the Council of Religious Leaders in North and South America and European Countries, as well as strengthening the role of the Fiqh Academy. The Islamic Council, whose membership includes senior muftis and scholars of the Islamic nation.

The report included a detailed statement of the League’s completion of its tasks towards strengthening the unity of the Islamic nation in its common religious issues, especially confronting Islamophobia campaigns and manifestations of insult to Islamic feelings, and confronting the ideas and methods of extremism with their different starting points and goals, in addition to completing open dialogues with major centers of research and intellectual studies in the East and West.
