Dr.. Muhammad Al-Issa lectures at the Library of Alexandria and receives the city's highest award

Alexandria (UNA) - In the presence of more than 1600 people, including ministers, officials, academics, professors and students from Egyptian universities, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, gave a lecture in the Great Hall of the Library of Alexandria in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in which he spoke About “East and West,” addressing the historical relationship between them, and a number of theories and theses in their historical context.

After the lecture, the international conference was launched on the international initiative presented by the Muslim World League, entitled: “Building Bridges of Understanding and Peace between the East and the West.” The conference was organized by the Association of Islamic Universities in cooperation with the University of Alexandria and Al-Alamein International University, in order to discuss the role of universities in promoting this initiative.

The conference was held to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the launch of the initiative at the United Nations headquarters, with the participation of its President and Secretary-General, its senior leaders, and a high-ranking presence of international religious and diplomatic leaders.

The work of the international conference continued with dialogue sessions for a number of academics on the Building Bridges Initiative and practical proposals to activate the role of universities in the Arab and Islamic worlds in supporting it.
